Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of IntellectScout (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

IntellectScout surfaces and ranks developer/technical problems mined from public sources and user submissions, with an evidence-based score. The Service is provided for informational purposes; the scores and rankings are not professional, financial, or investment advice.

2. Accounts

You may sign in with GitHub, Google, or LinkedIn. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Pro is a paid subscription billed on a recurring (monthly) basis. When you purchase Pro, FastSpring (Bright Market, LLC d/b/a FastSpring) acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record: FastSpring purchases the subscription from us and resells it to you, handles the payment transaction, invoicing, and applicable sales tax or VAT, and is the contracting party for the sale. Payment-transaction terms are governed by FastSpring's Terms of Use. These Terms govern your use of the IntellectScout Service itself (your End User License).

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or circumvent access controls or rate limits, and no infringement of others' rights.

5. Your submissions

When you submit a frustration or other text, you grant IntellectScout a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, cluster, and display it (in aggregate or excerpted form) to operate the Service. Do not submit confidential, personal, or unlawful content.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including the OpportunityScore methodology, clustering, rankings, and original content, is owned by IntellectScout and protected by applicable laws. Evidence excerpts link to their original public sources, which remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any score, cluster, or evidence.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IntellectScout will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the Service.

9. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
